Annex 3

Post-Harvest Treatments

The following information pertaining to each post-harvest treatment should be advised to us.
  1. Growers’ names.
  2. Crop.
  3. Varieties.
  4. Chemical or coating applied. This must include fungicides and chemicals used in sanitation washes and in the retardation of ripening.
  5. Confirmation that each chemical or coating is cleared for use in the country of origin of the produce.
  6. The trade name and manufacturer of each chemical or coating used.
  7. Concentration of each chemical or coating used.
  8. Method of application.
  9. Period of exposure, temperature, pH.
  10. Treatments in storage including details of any fumigants used.
  11. Confirmation that all hazardous chemicals are kept in a locked store and are only applied in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and only used by trained and authorised staff.

advised.
